VETERINARY PERMISSION
Before treatment is carried out veterinary consent must be obtained from your veterinary surgeon. This is a requirement under the Veterinary Surgeons Act 1966. It is also important to understand that McTimoney animal manipulation is not a substitute for veterinary treatment, however, I do work closely with vets to ensure a safe, appropriate and effective treatment. Most vets are aware of the benefits of complementary therapies for animals and are willing to give permission for a treatment.
LEGAL NOTICE
*The McTimoney technique is used to treat humans and animals. Only those practitioners qualified to treat humans may register with the General Chiropractic Council (GCC) and legally call themselves a Chiropractor. Practitioners using McTimoney techniques on animals only are not able to register with the GCC and therefore are not allowed to call themselves Chiropractors. As a practitioner using the McTimoney technique on animals only, I am not registered with GCC and therefore I do not describe myself as a chiropractor, chiropractic practitioner, chiropractitioner, or any other kind of chiropractor.
